Through the ages there have been infinite expressions of the guidance given to awaken in oneself according to time and culture. Whether we call it to unite with God, to become a Buddha, to become truly free, to realise one’s true self… it all points to the same phenomenon, a phenomenon that transcends everything we believe in and care about. The way needs to be found through oneself, and so the teachings can never be more than signposts along one’s own journey or fellow seekers sharing stories of their own unique journey. What they speak of can never be anywhere other than here in this present moment. If it cannot be found here it is not It. It is not given, nor found through religion or to those that ”deserve” it. It is timelessly here for all. This is why it is so important to see through all the cultural and historical expressions that teachings come in, and see for ourselves what it means in our own experience. There is no right and wrong in honest self-exploration. We do not need to know a word of Sanskrit or believe in a divine being to liberate ourselves. Belief is what we liberate ourselves from. We only stay earnest and honest with ourself and explore every nook and cranny of ourselves where we still defend ourselves and still hide away. Below is a bit of literature and names that have inspired me on my own journey.

I did not
have to ask my heart what it wanted,
because of all the desires
I have ever  known just one did I cling to
for it was the essence of
all desire:

my soul’s
